The biggest upset of the week belonged to Valley Christian, who took down 114th ranked Valley Christian, 28-27. Mike Lauck * threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
St. Francis moved up to 118 from 169 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in West Catholic. The Lancers were able to make the jump by beating the Warriors 28-27.
Elijah Dale was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 184 yards on 26 carries as St. Ignatius topped Sacred Heart Cathedral. Albert Waters also contributed to the rushing game with 136 yards on the ground.
Vollert was the best wideout in the league this week as the Wildcats bested the Fightin' Irish. Vollert racked up four receptions for 65 yards. Matt Emery helped St. Ignatius' passing attack out by catching three balls for 55 yards.
St. Francis' Lauck * and Austin Woodard * have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading West Catholic in both passing and receiving yards. Lauck * has thrown for 1011 yards this season, while Woodard *, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 15 catches for 327 yards. Dale from St. Ignatius leads the league in rushing with 782 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Serra takes on Bellarmine. The Padres are in first place, while the Bells are in third place.
Serra extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Archbishop Riordan, 56-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
