While Maple Valley scored more runs than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. Neither they nor the Merrill Vandals could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 16-16 tie.

With that tie, Maple Valley's record moves to 4-9-1. As for Merrill, they moved theirs to 9-7-1.

Maple Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-5 victory against New Lothrop on the 17th. Hopefully Merrill paid attention to the Lions' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
