The Plainfield Quakers will venture away from home to  face off against the Center Grove Trojans  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Plainfield 3.4, Center Grove 2.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
Plainfield took a loss when they played away from home  on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   6-2  win over Decatur Central.

Plainfield got a  massive  performance out of  Zach Rhoden, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  stolen bases and one  run. Those  three  hits gave  Rhoden a new career-high.  Drew White was another key player,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Plainfield was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Decatur Central only posted a  batting average of  .174.
 Meanwhile, Center Grove came tearing into  Thursday's  match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Greyhounds by a score of  8-5.
 Center Grove's victory was  their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 15-2. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Plainfield, their record is now 9-7.
 Plainfield might still be hurting after the  12-2 defeat they got from Center Grove  when the teams last played  back in May of 2024. Can the Quakers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
