It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Gainesville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Bonham Warriors 8-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Weston Shoemaker, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Andrew Lopez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Gainesville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Gainesville's win bumped their record up to 3-19. As for Bonham, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
