Sonora had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Escalon Cougars by a score of 12-7 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Sonora's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 5-15. As for Escalon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Sonora is taking a road trip to face off against Orestimba at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Escalon, they will square off against Hilmar at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.72 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
