The Mount Everett Regional Eagles will head out on the road to take on Springfield Renaissance at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Mount Everett Regional's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in January after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 45-19 walloping at the hands of Granby.
Meanwhile, Springfield Renaissance put another one in the bag last Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Southwick Regional with points to spare, taking the game 59-40.
Springfield Renaissance found their leader in underclassman Zi'yan Wallace, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Wallace is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 18 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sy'Nye Baker, who scored 11 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Mount Everett Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Springfield Renaissance, they pushed their record up to 16-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Mount Everett Regional was taken down by Springfield Renaissance 75-23 in their previous meeting back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mount Everett Regional was down 36-11.
