Anthony Monegan put up the most runs he's had since back in May of 2024 on Friday. He scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Monegan's strong effort led Crete-Monee over Kankakee and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long.
