Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calhoun County). They breezed past the Southwest Georgia STEM Charter Aggies to the tune of 52-12 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Calhoun County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Southwest Georgia STEM Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Calhoun County and Atkinson County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Rebels will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southwest Georgia STEM Charter, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chattahoochee County at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Aggies will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.43 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
