Everything went their way against the Shady Side Academy Bulldogs on Wednesday as they made off with a 15-5 victory. The win was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on three straight.
Brentwood got a massive performance out of Carma Coberly, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Paige Boehm, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Brentwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shady Side Academy only posted an OBP of .231.
The victory got Brentwood back to even at 5-5. As for Shady Side Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brentwood will face off against Apollo Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
