The Davenport Broncos stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 78-24 win over Mater Brighton Lakes Academy at home. Davenport's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Davenport had a senior duo take command as Sorayah Emilien scored 22 points and Destiny Kim scored 20 points. Emilien is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeleyna Britton, who scored nine points.
The win makes it two in a row for Davenport and bumps their season record up to 9-2. As for Mater Brighton Lakes Academy, their loss was their 18th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-12.
Davenport will play host again and welcome Lake Region, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mater Brighton Lakes Academy on the road again on Wednesday and play against Four Corners at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th.
