Antonian Prep is 9-1 against Savio since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Apaches will venture away from home to face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Antonian Prep will be strutting in after a win while Savio will be coming in after a loss.

Antonian Prep not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20th (when they won 11-1). They put the hurt on Lutheran with a sharp 11-1 victory.

Drake Carr was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Antonian Prep let Ethan Rocha and Victor Suggs run wild. Rocha went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one RBI, while Suggs went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Suggs has posted since back in March of 2024. Emilio Negrete was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, Savio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to Central Catholic. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Savio now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Antonian Prep, their record now sits at 12-14-1.

Antonian Prep couldn't quite finish off Savio when the teams last played back in March and fell 2-0. Can the Apaches avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
