After a string of five wins, Circleville's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Hamilton Township Rangers, falling 66-45. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Rangers are ranked 43rd).

Hamilton Township was led to victory by Jovon McBride and Lucas King. McBride almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine boards, while King dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which McBride has scored at least a third of Hamilton Township's points. Another player making a difference was Daviace Packnett, who posted 11 points.

Circleville's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Hamilton Township, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Circleville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-52 loss against Unioto on the 23rd. As for Hamilton Township, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-40 victory against London on the 23rd.
