The Freeport Pretzels will challenge the East Dubuque Warriors at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both  are strolling into their  games after big wins in their previous games.
 Freeport had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Morrison 79-25. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Pretzels as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
 Freeport can attribute much of their success to   Paityn London, who  dropped  a double-double on 34 points and 12  steals, and   Aaliyah Martin, who  almost  dropped  a triple-double on 18 points, nine  assists,  and 13  steals. Those nine  assists gave  Martin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Keagan Huggins, who  posted nine points along with eight  rebounds.
 Meanwhile,  you can't lose the  contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely East Dubuque's strategy against Warren on Monday. East Dubuque put the hurt on Warren with a sharp  49-23 win. East Dubuque pushed the score to  43-18 by the end of the third, a deficit Warren had  little chance of recovering from.
 Freeport took their  victory against East Dubuque  in their previous matchup  back in November of 2023 by a conclusive  61-37. Will Freeport repeat their success,  or does  East Dubuque have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
