Gateway College Preparatory was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight  loss. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Taylor Ducks. That's two games in a row now that the Gators have lost by  just one  run.
 Gateway College Preparatory saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Spencer Duncan, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  double. That  double was  Duncan's first of the season. Another  was  Tai Nguyen, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
Gateway College Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Taylor, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-15-1.
