The Wallkill Panthers can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 66-38 victory over Cornwall Central. The win was familiar territory for Wallkill who now have seven in a row.
It was another big night for Zoe Mesuch, who scored 25 points along with seven steals and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Alex Dembinsky was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Wallkill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Cornwall Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wallkill will square off against the Presidents at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Roosevelt will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Panthers are ranked 37th). As for Cornwall Central, they and the Wizards will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
