Sierra Vista extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Downtown Magnets. They took their game with ease, bagging a 78-42 win over the Downtown Magnets Suns. The Dons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Ethan Guevara, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Buna, who posted 12 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Sierra Vista smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive matchups.

When it comes to explaining why Downtown Magnets lost, don't look at Patrick Lei. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with six boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Justin Huang, who earned ten points.

Sierra Vista is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 22-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points over those games. Downtown Magnets moved to 24-8 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Coming up, Sierra Vista will head out on the road to square off against Alhambra at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Alhambra has won three straight at home, while Sierra Vista won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Downtown Magnets does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
