While Molalla's win against The Dalles wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Riverhawks 4-2. The win was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Zeke Kappas tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Molalla saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Shultz, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Molalla's record now sits at 14-6. As for The Dalles, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Molalla will challenge rival Estacada at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 3.6, the Rangers 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, The Dalles is set to take on their familiar foe Madras at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
