The Broomfield Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Rocky Mountain Lobos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Broomfield put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Legacy 60-20 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Broomfield has posted yet this season.
Broomfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abby Turk, who scored 15 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Turk scored 15 or more points. Olivia Kim was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain was able to grind out a solid win over Boulder on Saturday, taking the game 59-51. Given Rocky Mountain's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Boulder is ranked 134th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Broomfield's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Rocky Mountain, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Broomfield didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Rocky Mountain in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 61-55 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Rocky Mountain's Abigail Saville, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
