Kofa is 0-10 against the Hawks since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Kofa Kings will head out on the road to square off against the Gila Ridge Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Kofa has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 205 points over their last three contests.
Last Thursday, Kofa strolled past the Rams with points to spare, taking the game 70-54.
Calvin Barber and Elijah Braveheart were among the main playmakers for Kofa as the former dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Braveheart has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 14 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Emmanuel Ramirez, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Gila Ridge lost to the Wolverines on the road by a decisive 62-46 margin on Friday.
Kofa's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Gila Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.
Kofa came up short against the Hawks in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 56-45. Can Kofa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
