The Parish Hill Pirates will head out on the road to take on the Windham Whippets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Parish Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Windham is ranked 20th).
Parish Hill scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, posting a 49-20 win at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Parish Hill has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Windham's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 53-42 to Stonington. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Windham has scored all season.
Despite their defeat, Windham saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Asihja Harris, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, was perhaps the best of all. Harris has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hailey Flores, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Parish Hill's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Windham, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.
Parish Hill was taken down by Windham 87-35 in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Parish Hill was down 41-12.
