On Friday, South Oldham was the victim of a tough 63-42 loss at the hands of Franklin-Simpson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Oldham has scored all season.
Franklin-Simpson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kloie Smith out in front who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was LaReesha Cawthorn, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
South Oldham's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Franklin-Simpson, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
South Oldham's road trip will continue as they head out to face Crittenden County at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. Crittenden County will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Franklin-Simpson and Owensboro will round out the year against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Owensboro will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Franklin-Simpson is ranked fourth).
