Leading Rome Free Academy to victory were Haylee Bostwick and Nijae Matthews. Bostwick scored 18 points along with six rebounds, while Matthews dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amiyah Ferebee, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
New Hartford's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Rome Free Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
New Hartford will square off against Notre Dame at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Rome Free Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Proctor at 6:30 p.m. Proctor comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
