The Piqua Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 65-38 defeat at the hands of Xenia. Piqua was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Xenia apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.
Xenia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nataiya Madison, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tayler Elliott, who scored 20 points.
Piqua's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Xenia, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Piqua will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Butler at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for Xenia, they will be playing at home against Sidney at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
