They walked away with a 49-39 victory over John Henry. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mare Island Tech Academy also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Despite the defeat, John Henry saw an underclassman step up: Cesar Melchor scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Magana, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Mare Island Tech Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for John Henry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
