Caden Bradford went supernova for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, rushing for 202 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Bradford was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Napoleon Ellison, who threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt.
When it comes to explaining why St. Anne's-Belfield lost, one person who can't be blamed is Peyton Booth. Despite the final result, he threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Chance Mallory, who picked up 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Nansemond-Suffolk Academy has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 5-6 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for St. Anne's-Belfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Nansemond-Suffolk Academy will head out on the road to face off against North Cross at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Cross presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in Virginia (North Cross is ranked 42nd, while Nansemond-Suffolk Academy is ranked 170th). St. Anne's-Belfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
