Mather found their leader in underclassman Janelle Eliot, who scored 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayrhianna Jackson, who scored 12 points.
Phoenix Military's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mather, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Phoenix Military will be playing at home against Prosser at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prosser presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Phoenix Military in Illinois (Prosser is ranked 293rd, while Phoenix Military is ranked 695th). As for Mather, they will head out on the road to face off against Rickover Naval at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rickover Naval's defense has only allowed 26.1 points per game this season, so Mather's offense will have their work cut out for Mather.
