Buffalo's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 71-61 to Wayne.
Buffalo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Flanery, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds, and Jackson Mallett who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholoas Pitchford, who scored nine points.
Even though they lost, Buffalo smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wayne only pulled down six offensive rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wayne.
Buffalo now has a losing record at 8-9. As for St. Joseph Central, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-7.
Everything came up roses for Buffalo against St. Joseph Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 69-35 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was St. Joseph Central's Caden Ehirim, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
