The Mulvane Wildcats lost against the Circle Thunderbirds back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Mulvane received a tough blow as they fell 68-52 to Circle. Mulvane has not had much luck with Circle recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Mulvane's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Abasolo, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Mckee, who scored seven points along with three steals and two blocks.
Mulvane struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Mulvane's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Circle, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mulvane and Clearwater will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Clearwater is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Circle, Circle and Rose Hill will face off on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Rose Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Circle is ranked 20th).
