After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dighton, the Decatur Community Red Devils were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took down Greeley County 52-37. This was payback for Decatur Community, who suffered a 70-19 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Decatur Community to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Ostmeyer, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Davin Jensen, who almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals.
Decatur Community's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Greeley County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Decatur Community will head out on the road to face off against the Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greeley County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Syracuse has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
