Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, White River made sure to put some runs up on the board against Cedarcrest on Saturday. The Hornets blew past the Red Wolves 15-2. Laken Elvig made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, White River got a massive performance out of McKenna Charlton, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that Charlton has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Alexa Hansen, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

White River's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Beamer, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Beamer has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. However, it's not like White River struggles in that department as they've averaged .529. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
