There's no place like home for the Manteca Buffaloes, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Saturday. They walked away with  a   61-49  win over Sierra  on Wednesday. Given Manteca's advantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 243rd, while Sierra is ranked 488th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Manteca had a senior duo take command as  Evani Gaeta  scored 14 points along with nine  rebounds and six  assists and  Peyton Nieman  scored 16 points. Gaeta is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last three games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Santiago Sanders, who  scored six points.
 Manteca's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Sierra, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
 Coincidentally,  both teams will both be playing Central Catholic the next time they take the court. Sierra will  host Central Catholic at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday, while Manteca will  host them  at 7:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
