Lyons came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 20-25, 29-27.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emmi Bozarth, who had 14 digs, four aces, and three blocks. Kate Bailitz was another key player, getting 11 digs and three aces.

Lyons' win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Oak Park-River Forest, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.

Looking ahead, Lyons will challenge York at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Willowbrook on the 8th.
