Softball Recap: Lorena Extends Winning Streak to Five

Lorena entered their tilt with Huntington on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 12-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Leopards, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Isabella Davis was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Clara Andrews also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Lorena hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 16 consecutive games.

Lorena's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Huntington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Lorena will be playing at home against Hyde Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Huntington, they will be taking part in a tournament against Grand Saline at 2:15 p.m. on Friday.
