Whitko and Columbia City are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will host the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Whitko is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

Meanwhile, Columbia City scored first but ultimately less than Heritage in their matchup back in March. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 7-5.
Like Whitko, Columbia City also got a great game from a two-way player: Emma Hiss. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Hiss was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Madelyn Brady was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Eden Taylor was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
The victory made it two in a row for Whitko and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Columbia City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Whitko might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Columbia City in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will the Wildcats have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
