The Little Elm Lobos pushed their score all the way to 73 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 83-73 to Allen. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (59), Little Elm still had to take the loss.
Defeat or not, Little Elm got some senior leadership from Riki Adams and Cutberto Martinez. Adams scored 20 points, while Martinez. scored 14 points along with two blocks. It was the first time this season that Martinez posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Fegans, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Little Elm has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-16 record this season. As for Allen, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-5.
Little Elm didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-60 loss vs. McKinney on the 9th. Allen has also already played their next game, a 107-39 win against Rock Hill on the 9th.
