In what's become a running theme this season, the Murphy Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They blew past Highlands 80-60. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Murphy as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Leading Murphy to victory were Zach Skogen and Dominick Rummler. Skogen scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Rummler scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. Rummler is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Wachacha, who scored nine points along with seven assists.
Murphy's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Highlands, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost 12 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
Murphy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 84-69 win vs. Cherokee on the 9th. Highlands has also already played their next contest, a 48-37 victory against Blue Ridge Early College on the 9th.
