Kylie Schuler made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI.
In other batting news, Emma Gutauskas was a standout: she scored four runs while going 2-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ailynn Hauschen, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
River Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Anclote only posted an OBP of .100.
Meanwhile, Gulf came up short against Mitchell on Thursday, falling 14-1. The Buccaneers haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Gulf's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: River Ridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .508. It's a different story for Gulf, though, as they've only averaged .323. Will they be able to contain River Ridge's hitters?
Everything went River Ridge's way against Gulf in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as River Ridge made off with a 17-0 victory. Will River Ridge repeat their success, or does Gulf have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
