If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Tuscola. On Friday they will take on Meridian at 7:00 PM. Tuscola are cruising in on a four-game winning streak while Meridian are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses.
Last Friday, Tuscola put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They took the match and then some with a 49-0 victory over Shelbyville. The Tuscola offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the contest anyway.
Meanwhile, Meridian have to be hurting after a devastating 13-35 loss at the hands of Central A & M. Meridian were down by 6-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Tuscola's win lifted them to 7-1 while Meridian's defeat dropped them down to 1-7. Tuscola have been dynamite on the offensive side of the ball, averaging 42.38 points per game. We'll see if Meridian can find some way to disarm them.
