 Will Pardue put in work no matter where he played. He  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  a single  hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other pitching news,  Dru Gaddy was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out 11 batters over  4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   one  hit. That's the fewest  hits  he has allowed since back in February.
 Pardue wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Brayden Woodring, who  went 1-for-3 with one  triple and one  RBI.
Surry Central's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for East Surry,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 11-7.
While Surry Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
