The Arbor View Aggies waltzed into their contest Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 70-34 victory over Durango on the road. That looming 70-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Arbor View yet this season.
Arbor View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maximus Romero, who scored 17 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Trammell Darden, Jr, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Durango lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ahmad Wells, who scored seven points. Another player making a difference was Fabian Gomez, who scored five points.
Arbor View's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Durango, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Arbor View will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mater Academy East Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Lonnie Bass Jr. and Pharaoh Compton. As for Durango, they will head out on the road to face off against Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Las Vegas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday.
