Royall waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Hillsboro Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.
One reason for the win was Royall's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-10.
Bria Gruen paced Royall's offense, picking up 16 kills. Gruen got some help from Elizabeth Klipstein and her 26 assists. Kylie Rick controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Royall's record is now 20-7. As for Hillsboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-16.
