If Leroy Greene Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Aspire Alexander Twilight Secondary Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Forest Lake Christian Falcons on Wednesday. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Leroy Greene Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Forest Lake Christian work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 27-25, 25-19.

Leroy Greene Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Irene Aceves, who had 18 digs, and Alisa Frazier-McGregor, who had ten assists and four digs.

Forest Lake Christian can attribute much of their success to Aubree Wilson, who had 12 digs.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-3. As for Forest Lake Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Leroy Greene Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills on the 5th. As for Forest Lake Christian, they will face off against Victory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Falcons their first taste of in-conference action this season.
