Kelliher/Northome pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were beaten by North Woods 104-65. While losing is never fun, Kelliher/Northome can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 391st, while North Woods is ranked 172nd).
Meanwhile, Blackduck pushed their score all the way to 58 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough 100-58 loss at the hands of Red Lake. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Blackduck has suffered yet this season.
Kelliher/Northome's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-9. As for Blackduck, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
Kelliher/Northome was dealt a bruising 89-38 loss at the hands of Blackduck when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Kelliher/Northome avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
