The West Lowndes Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Myrtle Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Myrtle took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on West Lowndes, who comes in off a win.
West Lowndes' three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They came out on top against Smithville by a score of 38-26. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for West Lowndes' 12-point performance the game before.
Meanwhile, Myrtle and Byers were almost perfectly matched up on Thursday, but Myrtle suffered an agonizing 28-27 loss. Myrtle has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Myrtle got a solid performance out of Joe Kizer, who rushed for 270 yards and three touchdowns.
West Lowndes' win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Myrtle, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
