It was a good run, but the Great Hearts Irving Mustangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell to Founders Classical Academy 56-51.
Great Hearts Irving's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Beau Blank, who scored 14 points. Blank continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Crissey, who scored 11 points.
Great Hearts Irving's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Founders Classical Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Great Hearts Irving will head out on the road to face off against Uplift Infinity Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Founders Classical Academy, they will be playing at home against Inspired Vision at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
