The Brownfield Cubs's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dimmitt and snuck past 43-40. The team accrued 32 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Amery Pauda was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 16 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Lucy Guzman, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Brownfield's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Dimmitt, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
