The Volcano Vista Hawks entered their tilt with the Farmington Scorpions with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Volcano Vista took a 31-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Farmington on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Volcano Vista lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alijah (A-Train) Gonzales. Despite the final result, he rushed for 235 yards and two touchdowns. Those 235 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Gonzales.
Griego Trel was on fire for Farmington: he threw for 410 yards and five touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Beck Michael, who picked up 182 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Volcano Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Farmington, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.
Volcano Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Farmington also has no future games currently scheduled.
