Galena is a perfect 8-0 against Hurley since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bears will host the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Galena came up short against Blue Eye and fell 9-4.

Wyatt Doak made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Andru Foster was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Hurley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Sparta, falling 13-1.

Hurley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caysen Youngblood, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Jordan Cloud also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Galena's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hurley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything went Galena's way against Hurley when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Galena made off with a 12-1 victory. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
