The South Adams Starfires won the last time they faced the Leo Lions, and things went their way on Tuesday too. South Adams put the hurt on Leo with a sharp 62-42 victory.
Macy Pries continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Baker, who scored 14 points.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leah Shappell, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. Grace Busch was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
South Adams has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 2-4 record. As for Leo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
South Adams will head out on the road to face off against Bluffton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bluffton will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Leo, they will be playing at home against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
