The Riverdale Christian Ambassadors lost against the Laton Mustangs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Riverdale Christian fell to Laton 46-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Riverdale Christian in their matchups with Laton: they've now lost three in a row.
Laton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Johnathan Garcia, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Cesar Meza was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven steals.
Riverdale Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Laton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverdale Christian will take on Wonderful College Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Laton, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Alpaugh at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Alpaugh is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
